avere bisogno (to need) pensare (to think) dubitare (to doubt) (non) credere (to (not) believe) desiderare (to desire) volere (to want) preferire (to prefer) sperare (to hope) essere contento (to be happy) temere/avere paura (to be afraid) essere triste (to be sad) dispiacere (to be sorry)
Also used with many impersonal expressions.
