Term
| What are parts of a chemical equation? |
Definition
| There are 4 parts to a chemical equation. They are the reactant(s), yield sign, product(s), and the coeffiecients. The reactant(s) come before the yield sign, and make the product(s), which come after the yield sign. The yield sign is in between the reactant(s), and the product(s). It look like an arrow pointing to the product(s) (-->). What the yield sign is saying is that the reactant(s), when combined or dissolved, form the product(s). |
