Right to privacy:requires authorites to have specific reason to search and seize evidence

Search or arrest must be based on probable cause and requires a search or arrest warrant

Warrants must be signed by a judge

No one can be tried for a serious crime unless a grand jury says there is enough evidence;

cannot be tried for the same crime twice;

no one may be forced to testify against him/herself;

Government may not deprive people of life, liberty or porpwerty without due process of law--defines governtment of eminent domain

protects rights of individuals charged with federal crime;

right to a fair, speedy trial by impartial jury;

right to a public trial;

right to know the charges;

right to confront the witnesses (jury and the accused);

right to call defence witnesses and for legal advice;

all other rights not spelled aout in the constitution are givend to the people;

protects all basic or natural rights
