| Canal Connecting the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific. Built in 1914, by Americans lead by T. Roosvelt. The canal (along with all of Panama) belonged to Columbia at the time, but Roosevelt used his "Big Stick Diplomacy" to help the Panamains gain independence. |
